Ben and Rose

Post by Daniel Beachy »

I don’t know if any of you have seen this video floating around. Ben and Rose are an Amish couple from Lancaster, PA(yes, they really are Amish!) Their first upload is nearly at a million views. I got to play steel on the song, figured yall might like it if you hadn’t seen it yet!

Very nice, Dan! Great quality recording and the steel work is excellent. These young people are great singers as well. I enjoyed your music.

I'm not easily impressed, but WOW! Great singing, great playing – best steel I've heard in a very long time.

Terrific rendition of Merle Haggard and Bonnie Owens version of the song. Mighty fine steel playing-I might add. I used to till many gardens for the Amish people in our community and there was an Amish girl[woman] who could really sing good. I wanted to record her but she wasn't allowed to partake in such an adventure. I, also tilled gardens for a couple of Beachy families, not far from where I live-Constable, NY
Really nice recording. I used to sing that song after Merle and Bonnie put it out in 1966 but never had a female to do a duet with.
Keep up the fine steeling Dan

Very nice, Dan! That young couple sings like seasoned pros. The steel work was excellent and helped make the recording top notch.
