Re: Dickey
Yes, one of my favorite players. I have to go to Youtube and hear Dickey play for time to time.

VERY early "Jimmy Day'esque". To the point that I would have lost a bet on this one.
A history and musicality lesson for those who nowadays like to state that E9th is to be played on one or two frets only using pedals, levers and the "chromatics". This guy, like most of the early Gen. PSG players, plays STEEL Guitar with pedals, as it should be.
Thanks for posting this!... J-D.

Tablature KILLS SKILLS.
The uses of Tablature is addictive and has been linked to reduced musical fertility.
Those who produce Tablature did never use it.
I say it humorously, but I mean it.

Didn't Dickey play on Hank Williams Jr's "Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound" recording?

Re: Dickey
Yes, I think so Joe.
I know I've posted this before but here is one of my favorites with Dickey playing on Justin Trevino's Texas Honky Tonk. Great combination.
Fabulous playing and sweet tone. I don't know what guitar he is playing here, Emmons or 'Bud, but it's delicious whatever it is.

I had a guy tell me one time Dickey plays the good licks. His playing was unique.
