It's a good plugin but it can be overdone. I can always hear when somebody has used too much of it. On the other hand, it's great for bringing the bass end back into an old cassette recording. That's my favorite use for it.

Yes, it should be used with great care. It's no coincidence that in some circles it is refered to as "The Terrorizer" and "The Brutalizer". Just make sure to A/B check often, it's easy to get so familiar with the sound that you forget where it's coming from and you overdo it.<SMALL>It's a good plugin but it can be overdone.</SMALL>

I have two of the 862 hardware units and the plugin, and as usual, the hardware sounds better. I don't use it on a lot of things, but when it works, it works well. The one thing I always use it on it toms, on the way in. It makes them stick in the track really well... I use the plug ins on occasion, sometimes on guitars (and tom tracks if I am mixing something someone else tracked)... As usual, YMMV...
