I notice when I download songs to the Computer and put them on a cd, they will play on the Computer, but will not play on my Home cd player. I'm sure it is in the formatting, But can anyone tell me how I can get it to record so it will play on my home cd.

Sounds like you are downloading MP3 song files, and not converting them to wav files for burning the CD's. Most audio CD players will not play MP3 files, unless they specifically state they are MP3 compatible.

Some CD Burning programs will automatically convert MP3 to wav, for burning, if you make an "Audio CD" and some will not. It all depends on what program you are using to create the audio CD's.

Thanks, Jack I am using "I Tune" to burn them

If you're using the iTunes Windows Version, follow this path from the iTunes window:

EDIT > PREFERENCES > ADVANCED > BURNING

You'll then see where you can select AUDIO CD or MP3 CD.

Select AUDIO CD to make a disk playable on standard CD players

You might need to set the record speed slower, depending on the age of your player.
4X is usually good, 1X is best.

I use 8X as my audio CD burning "standard" That seems to be compatible with most audio CD players. Many newer CD/DVD burners will not burn at 4X (and 1X has been gone for years). I have an NEC that came with a new Dell and 12X is as low as it will go (fortunately I have two others that will burn at 8X).

You might also try making sure that you "close" the CD when you burn.
