I'll leave the poll up for about 4 days. You can follow the link above to listen to the clip, then come back here and cast your vote. In a few days I'll reveal the identity of MYSTERY JAZZ STEELER #1.
The song clip is from an unreleased, live recording, so no point shuffling through your CDs trying to find the recording. But if you happen to know for a fact who it is because you've received a copy of the clip privately from the artist in the past, then please don't mention her/his identity here, okay!
Ok, then, as one fine steeler would say, <b><i>'Let the Games Begin'!

So anyone who has already voted for 'None of the Above', can go vote again. (It's my ball, so I make the rules. ) Just don't vote AGAIN for 'None of the Above' or we're gonna hafta take away your privileges!
Sure sounds like the kind of stuff Al would play. He is the highlight of the Mesa show for me. We need to get him to St. Louis to play in the Jazz Room.

MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro.
Hey Jim, can I vote more than twice, and can I keep changing my vote if I don't like it, and can you give us lots of hints like telling us who it isn't so I can narrow it down to the right answer. Also can I change my vote...did I already mention that? Thanks in advance! By the way... you forgot to tell us who none of the above is. your pal, Dudenheimer Jones
And it's Al Vescovo pulling waaay ahead of the pack! But wait! Is that Lucky Oceans and Buzz Evans running neck and neck?? What is it with guys named 'Lucky' and 'Buzz' anyway? I'd be Lucky to get any Buzz at all! Now, what the...??! Is that Steve Palousek trying valiantly to pull up into a respectable position? Why YES it is! Way to go Steve! You'd better get a Buzz on, though, you've got Herb Steiner and Richard Nelson nipping at your heels! Ouch! But, hey! What is it with Don Curtis and Joan Cox?? They haven't even left the STARTING GATE! They're still lookin' for their LUNCH MONEY! Man! It's not often you see such a lackluster performance among pro players. Why, they're even behind 'None of the Above'!! What's up with THAT?! But that VESCOVO! Man! What a player!
