Silk Lap Steels

Post by Andy Volk »

SILK is a new brand (to me). Similar to the designs of the late Tom Pettingill. Here are pics and specs from their Facebook info:

West African Mahogany body and neck.
Inlaid Sycamore covers in B6 styling.
Bound and inlaid Wenge fretboard.
M.O.P dot markers.
Brass nut.
Through body stringing.
Kluson deluxe nickel tuners.
Mojo lap steel pickup, based on Valco string through.
CTS pots, Sprague cap, Switchcraft jack.
25" scale length.
Includes lightweight gig bag.
