hi to all

been absent here for a while and sorry to learn we lost bOb. He taught me a lot and I will miss him.

I have built a respectable collection of pre war laps (rick and national)

A22 7 string black krinkle oaak
Silvo, 1 of 16 known
New Yorker 7
7 and 8 string ricks
NAtl. HE Crab with nice gold/black original paint
epi electar blue

Also
Williams D10
Doozy fairytale w/benders and built-in capo

Life changes require liquidation
I would like to keep these in this family.
Before I list them I would humbly ask for your input.
Not a newb, spent 40 years in the biz
ebay and Reverb are drudgery personified
you guys are easy to work with so I rather sell here
How would you proceed ?
dumb question, I know.

thanks in advance

These shouldn't be hard to sell. Well, at least the Williams D10 and the Duesenberg. These are "common enough" that they appear in the For Sale section reasonably often.

For example, I just used the Search button and found this ad asking $2200 for a Duesenberg Fairytale. It sold pretty quickly; you could probably even reach out to the seller to ask exactly how much it sold for, and how much shipping was, etc.

I would post them here in the for sale section - in one big list with prices and pics. As they sell, add SOLD to each one. If your prices are realistic they will all sell, though some faster than others. Good luck with your sale!
Mostly Pre-1970 guitars.

For the vintage gear use the Vintage Guitar Price Guide; then Reverb and eBay's "sold" prices as a general guide.

"Asking" prices are meaningless. Anyone can list a $150 Japanese lap from the 60's as

RARE! ONLY 4 OR 5 KNOWN HERE! $12,750.00 plus shipping.

So ignore that stuff.

And use your guitar tech - they can be great help because they won't be in the business of trying to buy things for half value since they aren't in the sales business. I get several calls or emails a week from my customers asking for help. I don't mind, because they will be bringing me repair, setup and modification business, and I have multiple resources to pull from.

Hope that helps!
