Telonics combo

I'm baffled by the names. I see TCA500C ir TCA 500: Are there different models?

Roger, I believe the AB or C designation just refers to different generations of the 500, which comes in a variety of configurations ... I have a 500C, but mine is a TCA 500C 212 SuperTwin with 2-12" 8 ohm speakers wired in parallel giving a 4 ohm load with 650 watts RMS and 1000 peak and 39 pounds.

Hope that helped a little.

I believe the difference between the 500 B & C is that the C has a switchable speakON external speaker jack on the back of the amp that the B does not have.

Roger, I did a fair bit of field testing of the TCA500 for Dave and basically the lettering signifies each iteration of the amps development.
"A" being the first version... and "C" being the current and latest version :-} ... little improvements and features being added in the development cycle.

One of the features in this model C (TCA-500C) version is that the internal speaker is 4 ohms. Plugging in an external speaker using the speakON external speaker jack reconfigures the amp so that the two speakers are in series for a total of 8 ohms
