Finally Getting Some Acoustic Gigs vs Electric Gigs

Post by Terry VunCannon »

The past few years have been mostly electric lap steel gigs. Finally starting to get some acoustic gigs. How many of you work at electric gigs, or acoustic gigs, or both?

Lap steel is a second instrument for me. I’ve used an electric lap steel in the blues bands I’ve been in, when I wasn’t playing blues harp. I’ve also busked a few times using a square neck resonator. I’ve never gigged with an acoustic though.

Played another acoustic gig yesterday here in NC. Big fun, a neighborhood street festival.
