Does anyone know of a good tube amp tech in the SF Bay Area?
My silverface twin reverb needs servicing. I went to Skip Simmons' shop many years ago and got great service, but now he's in Marysville which is a long drive from where I am (Concord) and I"m looking for someone a bit closer to where I am. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I do not know anyone personally Joe, but you might check with Tom Bradshaw who is a forum member. You can do a member search to find his contact info.
He revived the Webb steel guitar amps a few years ago and although he may not be able to service your amp, he may know of someone who does nearby. He also lives in the Walnut Creek area, I believe.

Hal Petcher at Guitronics in downtown San Francisco has always done a good job on my amps.

Still a bit of a drive but Kent Fossgreen at Backstage Service in the Santa Rosa area (Cotati) is good with old Fender amps. (707) 795-8391
Skip Simmons is one of the best anywhere in my opinion.
