Video from the 2026 TSGA Non-Pedal Room

Post by Stephen Cowell »

I'll use this thread to post artist-approved videos. Let's start with Chris Woitach, who also accompanied most of our artists. I had no idea he played pedal steel.... and now he's a certified non-pedaler!

Here's Ethan Shaw's set... he did some duty as host, thanks for your support Ethan:

Here's Bob Blair's set... always looking forward to seeing and hearing Bob, a good friend as well. He also did a stint as host for us.

And as usual thanks to Jana and James Lockaby for running the show and Albert and Debbie Talley and the TSGA for supporting us. I've already published my set in another thread, I'll post more as artists get back to me and as I get stuff uploaded.

This is a good place to mention the backup players with which this couldn't happen... pro's that do this for the love of music, not money. Well, perhaps exposure amirite?

Gannon Philips... standup bass
Nathan Hess.... drums
Chris Woitach.... guitar.

There were some others involved but these were our mainstays and I cannot tell you how much it meant to have folks like this behind you on stage.

Don’t forget Matthew Walton, who, not only,, played a great non-pedal set, but did a great job on lead guitar for a number of sets. He was, also, named TSGA 2026 player of the year. I’m sending a big thanks out to him, too, for all his help behind the scene. I could not do it without him.

Big thanks to all the players, and backing musicians, who, yes, participate voluntarily. You all make the non-pedal sessions the success it is. You guys, and. Gals, are awesome!
